Course Details

The outcome of many court cases can sometimes depend on the integrity and evidence of one or two witnesses. Making sure that a witness is fully aware of the process and the import of their evidence is the one area that should never be left to chance.

Most people will go through their lives without ever having to give evidence in court or any other judicial forum. For those that do, it can be a very daunting prospect.

Oracle Communications has developed a programme to help prospective witnesses to prepare themselves for this task. We can bring witnesses through the standard way to present their testimony and help them judge for themselves what is unnecessary detail and what may be crucial evidence.

You will find out the various legal proofs necessary in this particular evidence and the most likely questions to be encountered in cross-examination. We can deliver a feedback report to highlight the strengths and weaknesses of the witness.

During this course Rory Egan shows witnesses how to:

  • Present their evidence in a clear and credible manner
  • Deal with questions that challenge their view
  • Keep to the point and don't unnecessarily over embellish
  • Understand the court process and what is expected of them by all parties
  • Have the confidence to defend their evidence if necessary
