A director in Baker Tilly’s tax department, Kate is a tax professional with extensive experience working with private clients, domestic and international companies, and regulated investment funds.
Kate provides tax planning for high-net-worth individuals and privately owned companies; including tax structuring for acquisitions, disposals, reorganisations and Management Buy Outs (MBOs) transactions.
Having been involved in a wide range of large corporate transactions and with a legal background, Kate is uniquely positioned to provide tax advice to vendors or purchasers in relation to the key documents linked to share or asset acquisitions or disposals, including:
• Business transfer agreements;
• Share purchase agreements;
• Tax warranties and indemnities; and
• Tax deeds.
Kate has Big 4 experience in the areas of establishing regulated investment vehicles, cross border structured finance transactions, securitisation (including aviation) structures, tax planning around the impact of OCED, EU and other international developments.
Kate is a member of the Irish Tax Institute (CTA), was a member of the Bar Council of Ireland and holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Business and Legal Studies from University College Dublin.
